To whom it may concern,
My engine went out and I had my vehicle,, 2006 Kia Sorento, towed to Legacy Auto on 1/10/2020. My engine was replaced it took over 4 weeks. They first stated it would take seven day and I reserved a rental vehicle for that time frame. I was then informed that it would take another week and had to extend the rental at my expense for another week.
I would call the shop every other day for an update on my vehicle with either no response or that they will call me back. I would text/call the personal cell of the owner with no response.
I went up there on the weekends to see if they were actually working on my vehicle. I've sent countless text messages and also sent an email.
I finally got my vehicle back 2/8/2020. The check engine light came on 2/10/2020 and I called the shop to make an appointment to check it. Then, something started smoking from the engine on 2/12/2020. I called immediately to voice my concern and the owner stated he would pay a house call since I was nervous to drive it out there. I called and left messages but he never came. I'm now having to go to another shop to diagnose the issue and possible repair.
Refund I would like Legacy Auto Diagnostics to pay for the repairs that arises from their negligence and my rental car if needed. I will retain all my receipts that are needed for this resolution.
Please send pictures of faults and estimate of repairs to *** so management can review.
Document Attached***
Hello,
I did not receive a refund for my complaint. I have attached the requested documentation requested. Can you please give me a call or let me know who to call as this issue has not been resolved.
Please let me know if I need to file a complaint with the courts. Thank you.
Sincerely
Dear Mrs ***,
I am writing in response to the case number referenced above. Our customer Mrs *** did contact the shop with the complaint of her car smoking. She said she was afraid to drive the car from *** to ***. We then told Mrs *** to tow the vehicle into the shop at our expense so the car can be diagnosed. Mrs.s initial problem was her engine. We changed to engine 3 times due to the conditions and quality of the parts we received from a salvage yard which we had no control.
In most cases we do not go out on calls and always advise our customers to tow vehicles in. In this case we would have gone out but the vehicle was in the ***. metro area and our shop is located in *** Maryland which was definitely to far. Mrs *** was on the schedule for the following day and missed her appointment and did not call. We have tried to reach out to her since then but have gotten no answer or response. We are more than willing to correct any issue she *** have but she has yet to give us a *** to correct any issues. As for the rental Legacy Automotive deducted $450.00 off of her final invoice to compensate her for her rental. Attached is a copy of her final invoice which will reflect the discount for the rental. Mrs. is a valued customer and has always been satisfied with the quality of Legacy Auto's workmanship and fair pricing. She has been a loyal customer and we have always accommodated her with her busy schedule and the distance that she travels. This situation is unfortunate and we would have liked to have been given a fair *** to correct any problems but because of the late hour that she called and the distance all we could have offered her at that time was to send a tow truck at our expense.
Please feel free to contact me . *** Shop Manager *** or email

Dear Ms.,
It was understood that I was driving home from work, to ***, MD. Which they offered to come to my house. They never offered to pay for the tow or a way to get home or a loaner vehicle. I've provided my cellphone records which shows incoming/outgoing calls and texts.
The shop has not contacted me since and have my cellphone number and email address. (I can provide my cellphone records for the month of March if necessary)
Legacy Diagnostics has not contacted me since Wednesday, February 12th, and will gladly bring in phone for proof as well as detailed bill.
Please let me know what the next steps ***/may not be as Mr. is confused on his communication with me via phone/email.
Thank you in advance.
