I contacted *** at Lecos Auto Sales Ltd about an older 'as is' *** with fairly high mileage that I found they had on consignment for a 'friend'. I requested that the car be safety inspected before proceeding with an offer. *** suggested their mechanic. After more than a week delay due to the mechanic being busy I suggested taking it to someone closer to me. After I arranged this, and driving about 4 hours there and back; and a couple hundred dollars later, the car failed the safety with an estimate of about $3,500. It also had a flat going there and I had to pay to have a second set of tires installed in order to get back.
At that point *** suggested his mechanic again since he didn't believe their estimate. I agreed for them to do the inspection again. Again after a few more days delay *** texted me back the rough estimate for about $600 for repairs and the safety inspection. He also followed up with a phone call late Thursday night confirming a couple points and mentioned we'll talk again.
I followed up Monday with an offer based on the mechanics estimate I agreed to have done, only to be told by *** that he had sold it on Saturday and he would be following up for me to pay for the damaged tire! There was no attempt to get hold of me, even though I was the one that requested the inspection and had spend a couple hundred dollars already on the first failed inspection.
Obviously, I'm not happy with how I was treated.
(To be clear, the main point is that I had a verbal agreement to purchase the car subject to an inspection. At no time did I say that I wasn't going to purchase the car, however the car was sold to someone else breaking this verbal agreement. ***.)

I'm sorry you feel that way.... Just to put it in better prospective. I allowed you to take the vehicle to a mechanic of your choice as my mechanic was very busy at the time. A practice that I do not let happen at all. That being said your mechanic was in Hamilton, 80 km's away which I wasn't aware of. You picked up the vehicle at 9:30 am and returned it just before closing. On your journey you admitted to hitting a pothole not only damaging a tire but cracking two brand new custom rims (which we discussed fixing at your expense if you did not purchase the vehicle).
The estimate that was provided to you via my mechanic was communicated to you on November 11/2018 and your first reply was the following day. After a phone call, your next reply was on November 26/2018 in which the vehicle had already been sold. The vehicle was a consignment and the owner sold the vehicle on his own accord and the offer you put forward wasn't enough even if it was still available. Sales agreements are only valid when they are actually drawn up, signed and a deposit has been left... you did not do any of those. It is very sad that after all the efforts that were made to accommodate your requests that it ends with a 1 star review and that coming after communication on having you cover the cost of the damaged rims.....
***, I'm sorry again... and don't worry about the cost to repair the two rims. I will pay for them as it was my fault for letting you take the vehicle to start with.
Thank you for the review.

The business knew very well that I wanted to purchase the car; I told them as much and advised them that before purchasing I wanted an inspection (which I did at my expense). After the inspection they even wanted to have their own mechanic look at it before selling because they said they didn't believe the results.
I would have been very happy to write something up but at no time was asked. ***. Even though the offer agreement was verbal I would have thought it would be honored and I am very disappointed that this business appears to be yet another 'used car dealer'.
I think this is borne out since they are still trying to argue that they were right even though I did everything in good faith and they still don't seem interested in making things right. This is definitely not good client service at the very least.
First and foremost if a deposit is made and a contract is drawn then yes, the vehicle is concidered sold. At no time was there any discussion of a deposit or bill of sale as the customer needed to be reassured of his purchase.....
Secondly the vehicle was a consignment piece which gives me little to no control over the owner pulling it at anytime to sell on their own.
The used car industry is and has always been first come first served (with a deposit).
I purchased and paid in full a 2013 *** from Lecos in July 2017 but the air conditioning was not working they told
Me to bring it back and they would repair it, I brought the car back for repair and they gave it back still not repaired so I brought it back again and this time they kept my car for 2 weeks repaired the AC and billed me for the repairs. The repairs should of been completed before I took possession of the car
I want the charge of the repairs to the Air conditioning to be voided and never to be Contacted by anyone from Lecos
knows full well the vechile was sold AS IS at COST and ANY repairs after the vehicle was picked up would be on his dollar, that';s why he paid $3000 below our website advertised price. He agreed to pay it anyhow when he picked up the car, but decided to never come back and pay it, instead of coming clean and discussing the issue right then and there he left it to brew for 6 months and now wants to pay what he FEELS is the amount HE should pay. Lastly, no one from Lecos has every called leaving *** messages

They claim the vehicle was purchased as is and that I paid 3000 less than their internet price, that is because I purchased 3 vehicles that day and had a trade in. It was not a as is sale as the vehicle was being used as a rental. I received many phone calls and text messages from *** and ***. In the end I made an arrangement with *** to pay 300 because I lost 400 on the weekend of the rental because the *** was not ready after having my car for 2 weeks. In the end when I went to pay the 300 I was told by *** that 300 is not acceptable and that *** doesnt decide anything. After I purchased 4 cars from lecos in the same year for the purpose of renting a understanding to the fact that beacuse of the scheduling on their side when it came to the repairs of the ***.
