Review: They cut into the front porch stairs and put the gutter downspout through the middle of my walkway stairs to the front of my house. They did this w/out any of my, the homeowners knowledge or consent.Desired Settlement: I want the stairs replaced with new wood that they destroyed. and the wood needs to be ac2 for decking/porches. I want the siding on my house where they drilled into replaced. and I want the boards painted to match.

Response:
While I respect that Mr. [redacted] is not happy with the outcome of the work we did and has a right to express it, we absolutely, positively did not perform any work without prior consent. On the contract we signed with the original homeowners - [redacted]'s parents - every detail of the work to be done is drawn out / diagrammed on the front page of the contract. [redacted] was not home at the time the work was done (advance notice was given prior to us starting the job) to direct us to change the contract. We have a legal obligation to the person(s) that signed the contract and paid for the job, to perform the work exactly as detailed on the contract. For us to do otherwise is a violation of that contract and would have put us in a liable position. When we were contacted by [redacted] at 4:30 pm we told him we would respond promptly the next morning. By 9:00 AM that following morning we were in touch with [redacted]'s father to determine what action he wanted us to take, and were also in touch with [redacted]'s mother that same day. We then met with [redacted]'s father at the home to further understand what they wanted us to do.We are absolutely willing to make whatever changes [redacted] wants done, but to accuse us of doing work without prior consent and authorization is a libelous statement. Our contracts have been reviewed by legal counsel and are in compliance with the state regulations that govern the Building and Remodeling industry in the state of Wisconsin.[redacted]President - LeafGuard Southeast, LLC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. My parents names are no where on the title. my parents are no where owners of my house. there contract was not with any owner of the house. I never recieved a phone call even though im the one who called and left my number. This is my house not my parents, I own it. not them. this was just a gift to the home owner. NO WHERE HAS MY PARENTS NAMES EVER BEEN ON THE TITLE TO MY HOUSE. THIS WAS DONE WITHOUT HOMEOWNERS CONSENT.

Response:
We were lead to believe that the parents - that signed the contractual agreement - did in fact have the authority to do so and authorize the work to be done. A phone call was not returned to the home owner because, as stated previously, our legal responsibility is to the person that signed the contract and paid for the work to be done. The fact that this was done without the homeowner's consent appears to be an issue between the homeowner and his parents. As stated in the previous response, we are willing to make whatever changes the homeowner wants. We were simply following the contract specifics as defined.
shabby workmanship
no offer to repair main problems
bandaid fixes offered despite promises from owner of company
