I recently had a Leaf Filter system installed on my house. After all the dust settled, I think I have a pretty good system, but it wasn't easy. I asked the salesman to notify me before he sent workers to install the guards on my home-I am not mobile and wanted to have my son available to do some inspection as the work progressed. The following Monday a fellow showed up and said he was going to install my system. I called my son, but he was working and said he wouldn't be available until 1:00pm. I told the guy that he needed to do only the preliminary work so it could be inspected before he finished. He said OK. When my son came, he saw that almost all of the guards were already installed. He asked the guy if he had performed the steps outlined on the brochure and the guy said he knew nothing about any brochure. I asked him to stop and called the manager of the shop. He sent another guy the next day and he did a great job, taking before and after photos at every step. The photos showed that the first guy did none of the promised steps, not even cleaning old leaves from the gutter, no gutter repair, no caulking, nothing. I asked about water tests to prove all gutters and downspouts were in good operating condition and he said it would be better if we waited a week, due to the caulking he did. I agreed and made an appointment for the manager and my son to do a water test in one week at a specified time. My son came-the manager did not (he forgot). My son did the tests and confirmed everything was working perfectly. As I said the system is good-service disappointing.
