Leaf Filter Gutter Protection

After lots of phone calls and emails, I finally got them to remove the section that was causing overflow and flooding, leading to water damage in my basement, me having to go up on my aluminum ladder in a thunder storm to clear off gutter debris, and water flowing over the electrical panel in my basement. Very bad communication and follow through from Oregon franchise. I am still waiting on refund for about half of their product they had to remove.

Leaf filter corporation has caused me more headaches and dissatisfaction over the past 4 years than anything else I've ever had to deal with in my 72 years. I purchased these gutter protectors because I am handicapped and was told I would never have to get on a ladder again. That was the first lie, because I've had to get on a ladder more in the last 4 years (against my doctor's orders), than I've had to do in the prior 50 years of owning a home.
The first few times the gutter guards plugged up with leaf debris such as Fir tree needles, flower petals from flowering Cherry trees, seed pods, and various other debris which falls from large trees. These things fall onto the roof and when it rains they make a mat over the leaf filter "so called" gutter guards making it impossible for water to get into the gutters thereby overflowing the gutter and landing around the foundation. If you are considering purchasing any type of gutter protection you had best read the reviews of leaffilter on trust pilot and Rev Dex, or you could be in for the headaches of your life. This company has been impossible to work with, as after 4 years of dealing with this mess I asked them to remove the gutter guards and refund my money. All I have received back from them is a lot of double talk and weak excuses.
After having to clean the gutter guards out a couple of times, Leaf filter wanted to start charging me $95 per visit to clean the gutter protection screens off. I refuse to pay this fee because as I told the Leaf filter person who came to clean the filters off, the product is defective and I will not pay to have you come out and clean something that's not working the way it was represented. They have refused to refund my money even though I told them that they're advertising flyer which I have from when I purchased says 100% money back guarantee. Well, that's a big lie. They wanted to charge me to come out and take down the leaf filters and then charge me again to haul them away.
My suggestion to anyone thinking about purchasing Leaf filter gutter guards is to listen to the people who complain about them and see what kind of results they have gotten. Save yourself a lot of headaches and don't buy this product. The company is unprofessional and they're handling of complaints in that they tell you someone will call and several business days and there's never any call, just online excuses repeated every time someone makes a complaint.
I have absolutely zero confidence that Leaf Filter corporation will do the right thing and honor their guarantee so I have contacted the Oregon State attorney general's office department of consumer affairs in hopes that they can be of assistance in dealing with this continuing scam.
