L&D CONCRETE AND MASONARY

Review: After reviewing the floor plans for my home project that describes in the contract. Mr. [redacted] and I agreed on the price of $27,500.00 and we both signed the contract to do the work. As a bonus to the deal, I agreed to let him have a 1999 Ford F150 pick up truck which he took. I then paid Mr. [redacted] the initial deposit of $10,000.00 and the subsequent check of $8,250.00. Mr. [redacted] cashed the checks, performed 25% of the total project, left it in a state where water got into my home and ruined my belongings. He walked away with the rest of the money. He has no intention to finish the job! Numerous phone calls/texts and emails had been made to his business but I got no response from him. The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractor (LSLBC) lists his license number is [redacted].Desired Settlement: He either has to finish the job or refunds the money.
