On October 27, 2015, Mr. [redacted] came in and purchased two tablets. One tablet was a Cruz T301 and another was a Pandigital Supernova. They sell for around $100 each new. Our items are used and from time to time we sell items “AS IS” with no warranty. We could not turn on the Cruz tablet. The...
manager told Mr. [redacted], “okay, I’ll give you a great deal but I can’t power up the Cruz tablet so it will be AS-IS with no warranty whatsoever.” Mr. [redacted] verbally agreed. We sold both tablets for $55 due to the used and “AS IS” sale. Attached is the receipt that Mr. [redacted] received. It clearly states in capital letters, “AS IS NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.” The price given further indicates that it was sold “AS IS” because we would not sell perfect working tablets for 27% of their retail value. Later, Mr. [redacted] determined that he could not power up the Cruz tablet. He wanted his money back. He was very angry and cursed at the manager when he was not given a refund. So there is nothing we can do for Mr. [redacted] regarding the Cruz tablet. However, the manager did tell me that Mr. [redacted] believed that the Cruz used the same charger cord as the Pandigital. This is not the case. The Pandigital and Cruz use two separate charger cords. It is possible that the Cruz will power up if Mr. [redacted] uses the proper cord. Respectfully, [redacted] El Bufalo Pawn
