Paid for services in contract. Services not performed. Promise to finish not completed. Hired on 3-9-15. Contract written up for Install piers along entire length of house in rear front left to porch. Install approx 32 joist and repair rotten seal in kitchen. Floors will be raised to level and set on new piers. All ducts and boots will be re wrapped and taped. All boots will be checked and corrected if necessary. Pmt of 2000.00 down. After piers poured and joist started 2000.00. When back completed and front started 2000.00. When front completed and ducts wrapped the final 2000.00. His said it would take a week to complete. It is now July 21 and work has not been completed and we have paid in full. This work was under our house and we could not see what was or was not done. My dining room floor is about to fall in and we had to have a heat and air person come fix duct work that was left hanging off the main trunk with air flow under house. Only 15 floor joist were put in, duct work had a few places wrapped with house insulation that was hanging off due to moisture. My floors are swagging and worse than before. While here he said he needed to replace copper plumbing to pvc. We agreed to pay him 1000.00 for this and he said he completed it. Not completed we still have some copper plumbing. We are missing a 2 ton jack that we had under house before he started. The material that was delivered to our house for the work sat in my yard and only 1/3 was used under house. He took the rest with him. This was not a professional job. He said he was a licensed contractor. We looked and yes he has a number assigned. We recently found that it is not active since 2013. The men he brought and dropped off to do the work said they did not know what to do and one even said he was an electrician but no license and had no clue how to fix floors. He kept Mr [redacted] on the phone telling him things to do. We have repeated called Mr. [redacted] and he tells us he will be here to fix everything on a certain day and time and then we hear and see nothing of him. This has happened at least 15 times. We have no other choice but to file a civil complaint. We estimate work done to be about a 1/3 of the contract agreement. We feel Mr. [redacted] mispresented his business and the work was not completed anywhere near what was in contract. Please help!Desired SettlementWe want the work completed correctly and professionally.
