After having an encapsulation done on a mobile home with skirting I have problems with water in that space from rain. Dr energy had someone come out to tell me water was coming in from underneath and that I needed to install a submerged water pump for an additional expense. I enstalled a surface water pump and upon further inspection discovered rain water is coming in through the foam insulation that was installed in the skirting. I have videos to prove that.

Moister has seeped into the subfloor and has set in motion a chemical reaction that gives off a strong odor of cat urine inside the trailer. I have no pets. I’ve learned that this moister will warp and denegrate the subfloor. Which is disturbing news. I’ve had to put a halt on the new wood laminate flooring, which I was over half way through installing.

I am so frustrated with the results of this encapsulation. All the money I have spent on home improvements since this project may literally be washed out. I may have to pull the encapsulation out, air it dry and have it belly wrapped and new skirting put on. If I can’t get rid of the smell I may have to sell it as is.
I have left messages with my Dr Energy’s contact, John Carpenter, to no avail.

I think dr energy has done mobile home owners an injustice by selling this option.
