Hired Mr. July 24, 2018 on 24, 28 for services and ok contract for 7514.00, gave 1/2 , 3700.50, check 2296. Raining on 8-20-18 we asked if he could remodel carport and tile, tack strips and other are on in closed contract. There was a ? in a bedroom he said he went into the attic and was hard to remove do to a worn out plug on my dryer. I gave him a check for 450 for this and same day and 2708 for other contract. He never finished this job, removing tact ? and molding, tile and left that day. I have try so many times to talk to him, never has? Painting or repaid on house. The other man did the work he was paid for.
I want all of my money back, if he can't be honest and finish the job, I don't want him on mu property or his business. I will take new ? action. He stole from me and I am 68, my husband is 74, and in the hospital.
Our company did receive a deposit toward Mrs. Barthell's siding project.
Afterward however she decided to work on her foundation first because the leveling of her foundation would destroy any work on her exterior siding.
She hired us then to remove her flooring including carpets, glued down vynel and tiles,
as well as the guest bedroom false floor consisting of a 2" by 6" framing and plywood deck.
Unknown to us was the fact that the closet wall had been built afterwards on TOP of the false floor we needed to remove.
Before we proceeded I asked for the additional $450.00 she spoke of in her complaint and she gave us permission to remove it for that additional cost.
At Mrs. Barthell's request we special ordered her siding which is an older siding and difficult to find so that we would have it ready when she finished her concrete leveling project.
We of course had to work on other projects while waiting months to hear from her.
When I did finally hear from her again she began to accuse us of wrongdoing because we could not stop our current projects in order to complete her project.
I told Mrs Barthell that we would be happy to fulfill our contract as soon as we can make a place in our schedule.
Once I made time in our schedule I attempted to contact her on multiple occasions to schedule but could not get through to her even after leaving multiple messages.
Her next correspondence was through a police officer.
I am still committed to finishing her project if she would allow me to.
However I see in this complaint that she has evidently hired someone else to complete the project.
I am sorry to hear that she is not satisfied, however we have kept our portion of our contract and have her siding ready to go up still.
I offered to drop off the siding for her if she wanted to go with another contractor and she refused.
We have not been and will never be dishonest with her. Her view point however I cannot change as she has ceased receiving my calls.
