Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:law auto cancelled a check to me costing me $
I have not received the money back that my bank charged me for the cancellation of the check from law auto
Sincerely,*** ***
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
A. The signed page states I received a check for an amount of $1200.00. this amount in no way ever states that it is payment in full.
B. The check was received, I deposited the check and then Law Auto stopped payment on the check costing me a $15.00 charge from my bank.
C. The payment of $1200.00 to Clackamas Federal Credit Union is not an issue.
D. The page from the warranty Company is incomplete. In the attachment I am providing it clearly states the dollar amounts that Law Auto is to refund to my Credit Union. $1768.78 if the total refund amount due to Clackamas Federal credit union.
Also, $15.00 is due me for the stop payment fee on the check Law Auto wrote to me.
Sincerely,[redacted]
Our customer [redacted] believes that the warranty we sold him was $2495.00 When he purchased the vehicle back in April, we showed him that the VALUE of the warranty as $2495.00 but that we would sell it to him for $1995.00, which is reflected on the signed Bill of Sale (attached). At...
the time of sale, Clackamas Community Federal C.U. released a check to us in the amount of $7259.00 (the cost of the vehicle plus the warranty) which is reflected on the Bill of Sale. Upon calling the Clackamas Federal ourself to refund the pro-rated amount for the warranty, they verified that the warranty portion was indeed $1995.00.
On 8/19/16 [redacted] came in to sign that he would accept $1200 as a refund (attached file). We issued a personal check of $1200 in [redacted]'s name. When we contacted Clackamas Federal, they told us that the $1200.00 check should have been written to them to be applied to the loan. We then put a stop to [redacted]'s check and re-issued the $1200 directly to [redacted]'s account at Clackamas Federal (attached file).
We also have a letter from the warranty company Gold Standard, dated 8/24/16 that shows the amount charged to [redacted] as $1995.00 (attached).
We strive to go above and beyond with our work which is illustrated in that after [redacted] purchased the car in April, he had a few complaints. The Gold Standard warranty he purchase did not cover some of [redacted]'s concerns, so we went ahead and spent $725.64 to fix his concerns on 5/17/2016 (4 uploads are max, but we can send if needed).
[redacted] stated in his complaint "They now will not talk," when he was just here at our car lot on 8/29/16 with [redacted], and [redacted] here to confirm this. Again, on [redacted]'s visit to us, we were trying to clear this up. We believe that our documentation should clear this all up. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.
