First of all the new front desk they have is a terrible idea while you're standing there answering all of your personal and medical questions you're not in a private setting you're standing in line with other clients. Not only can this be embarrassing, it also is not HIPAA complient. This is either poor training or a complete lack of training. The most they should be doing in the lobby area (it's not even a waiting room) like this is give you a clipboard and questionnaire to fill out. They do not give you a copy of you privacy rights (multiple visits this has been true now). They argue with you and are outright rude about the most basic concepts, such as suddenly cutting off your medications and not giving you any options. Their attitudes are generally dismissive and rude. Most employees up front stand around talking about personal business and jokes, while making you wait to even check in or pay your bill. At one time I attempted to pay my bill and was simply told they were about to go home for the day and I would be mailed a bill. I was and it was for more because it didn't include the discount they apply for paying your bill at the time of your visit. It takes multiple phone calls or wait times of up to 30 minutes to get someone on the phone, with a high regularity. The PA's aren't much better generally acting impatient and hurried and saying things like "well what do you want me to do about it" because they aren't sure why you're having back pain.
