On July 6, 2019 I went for a free consultation and was talked into getting CoolSculpting procedure to get rid of fat cells in midsection and inner thighs. The employee had me fill out paperwork which I did not read or understand. The cost of the procedure was $4,500.00. so Laser MD took my *** credit card and charged $3000.00 and took the payment without any services rendered. Laser MD wanted me to finance $1500.00 from a third-party lender *** which they use on a regular basis for financing. I filled out an application and if it was approved, I was supposed to receive this paperwork because it contained a pin number/shopping pass that only I could authorize for any withdrawals to be made. I would have to provide a pin no. and photo I.D. to authorize any withdrawals. What transpired was *** directly transmitted that information to Laser MD MedSpa and they immediately took the $1500.00 out which I was not aware of because they never gave me a copy of that paperwork before leaving the building. My contract was mailed to me 2 weeks later so I never read what the contract stated. Meanwhile I called them on Tuesday July 9 to tell I lost my job and wanted to cancel everything but all the money had been transferred to Laser MD MedSpa and told me there was a no refund policy which I was not aware of at the time. I immediately called my credit card company to file a dispute and the third party lender *** to file a dispute and was assigned someone who was going to help me with this matter. I called on August 26, 2019 and the employee that was helping me got removed from my case and transferred into another department so I had to deal with another person who told me they could not help me any further. I have not received any services from them and was charged $4,500.00.
To Whom This May Concern: The pending refund request from the above dispute has recently been updated from denied to approved. This change in status is due to a change in company ownership over the last couple of months. Both accounts that were originally charged are in the process of a full refund.
