Did not fix problem that we paid to be fixed. Did not return phone call
Two weeks ago, our basement flooded with black water. Someone came out and sent a camera down our sewer line and determined that there were roots causing the back-up. They snaked the line, and went on their way. My husband asked the guy if he could check our vent pipes to make sure there were no blockages there, but he ignored the request and went about his merry way. Two weeks later, our basement flooded again with black water. We called Lascko again to tell them that the problem was reoccurring and they cited us ANOTHER $99 to send someone out, plus the cost ($400+) for any needed repairs. My husband asked whether they warrantied their work, considering we just paid them almost $500 two weeks ago. We were told "we can't warranty roots".
Anyhow, we agreed to have someone come out if they would at least waive the $99 fee, to which they agreed. The guy we spoke with stated he would send our request out and we would hear from someone when they were a half an hour out. Now, almost 36 hours later, we still have not received a call or had anyone out to the house to fix the problem. Would NOT recommend this service. We now have to go through another company to have what should have been fixed the first time.
I would like a refund of my payment, as the job was not done. The flooding reoccurred two weeks after service and we tried to get someone back out here without a call back

We went to this job on 2/6/20, responding to a backup, customer stating they have had it cleaned by others 3 times before. Arrived on site, opened the drain and used 4" cutter out to one hundred feet. The root blockage is at 52 ft and 56 ft. The City main connection is at 70 ft. Flow tested with lots of water. There are still roots at those two areas. Will give proposal for pipe patching. We "happy called" the customer the same day at 3:25pm and the woman we spoke with said "our tech was very informative and did a great job. She stated she has had other companies out and they didn't fix the problem". She gave us 5 star service rating. We cannot warranty work where roots are present and growing. Our repair would be the pipe patching. We charged $79 for our drain diagnostic fee and $383 to clean 100 ft. main drain line. We also gave them $25 coupon. The invoice was paid, I believe by their mother. We did set up a work order on 2/24/20 at 9:21am, explaining that we would send the next available tech to come out again. We called back on 2/24/20 at 10:02am to update them on our schedule. Customer was upset about no warranty and still having issues. (We were waiving the return trip fee for them, not charging them again to come back out.) We called back to send someone out on 2/25/20 at 12:13pm but no one answered. We left a voicemail to call us. 2/25/20 We called again at 2:35pm asking if they still wanted us to come out or not as by this time, we can see they are posting on Facebook that they called another company. We left voicemail. They did not respond to our calls to return on 2/25/20. All of our calls our recorded, if needed, we can submit recordings. I am not sure what else the customer expects. We did attempt to call them to return but they never responded. Please let me know if you need any additional information. We would be glad to help you!
Just received a voice message from Lascko today (2/26/20), stating that "they spoke about giving us a refund, but will not be able to do so because we reported them to the Revdex.com, and they now have to settle it that way". I am quite unhappy about this, as we did try to resolve it personally with them over the course of 2 days and were blown off. They never really got back to us until they saw the complain that was made and finally decided to take us seriously on the matter.
After reading Lascko's response to this complaint, I would like to elaborate on some points. If Lascko is willing and able to submit recordings of our phone calls, I think that would be great. However, I would like them to start the correspondence with our first contact with them on Sunday, 2/23; in which my husband called to state that we had black water flooding into our basement again after being snaked out two weeks prior. My husband was told that they would not be able to send someone out that night, but we would be placed on the emergency list for someone to come out first thing the following day, which would have been Monday, 2/24. On Monday, we received a call asking us if we still needed someone to come out, for which we stated yes. This is when we were told that we would charged an additional $99 diagnostic fee plus the cost of whatever work needed to be done. My husband, asked for this cost to be waived. The man on the phone said he would speak with the office manager and let us know. He called back shortly thereafter and told us they would waive the $99 to come out and would have someone call us 30-60 minutes before arriving. My husband reminded this man that we were told that we would be put on the emergency list, the guy responded "well, we will have someone call you 30-60 minutes before arriving". At this point, we had been without use of water for almost 20 hours. We NEVER received another call on Monday from Lascko. This is when I started reaching out to other companies. With myself, my husband, and our 8 year old daughter in the house; I cannot be without water for as long as we had been. Not to mention the unsanitary conditions of having black water in our basement. I did find another company agree to come out on Tuesday at 1pm. I waited until Tuesday morning to report Lascko to the Revdex.com and to leave a review on their company Facebook page. It wasn't until after these two measures were taken, that we finally received two back to back calls from Lascko stating that they would send someone out. I feel as though my report to you guys is what finally motivated Lascko to reach out.
Finally, I am a little upset about their response including a side note that our bill was "paid by my mother". I don't know why this information is relevant, and I feel as though including it, somehow indicates that we couldn't afford the service and a therefor trying to receive a refund because of such. In response to this, the bill did get paid on my mothers credit card, only because I did not have the money until I got paid the following day. This money has since been paid back to my mother.
In reviewing this situation, Lascko Services feels that we handled this customer and situation correctly. Our company/employees followed company procedures and policies in performing the work as authorized by the Micheal's. We simply cannot warranty roots in the drain line that continually cause backups. The drain would need to be replaced/repaired. Thank you
