I sent a direct request to [redacted] stating for him to send the check for damages directly to me, not to the...

body shop itself.By doing so, he assumes control over this matter in terms of when, how, and if the repairs will be made to my car (whether or not the repairs are done, the damage he did does affect the car's overall worth and resale value).  Control of how and when the repairs are made should be under my authorization as owner of the car, not that of [redacted] the one responsible for the damage to my car.

Mr. [redacted] called Revdex.com to respond to the complaint and advised that he had hand-delivered a check to the body shop on 12/8/14 and he considers the matter resolved.

[redacted] DID NOT send a check to me, although I had instructed him to do so.  What he did do was to send a check directly to an auto body shop. The check was cashed by the auto body shop owner because the owner of this shop and I agreed to donate the check amount to Salvation Army, as it was the Christmas holiday season, and I did not want to take my car in for repairs at that time.  I reiterate, I had instructed [redacted] to send the check directly to me--whether or not I had the car repaired at that particular time, its value has still been diminished by [redacted]ncompetence, by his damage to it.  Thus, my car's worth is now minus the value of the contested check. [redacted] refused to communicate directly with me over this matter.  Whether or not I ever receive compensation from [redacted] for the damage he did to my car, I would like the Revdex.com record to show that my complaint evokes [redacted] incompetence as an auto mechanic, so that others may avoid making the same mistake I made by taking my car to [redacted] for repairs, only to have him cause major damage to the car.

Revdex.com called business to follow up on this complaint and spoke to [redacted] who said the consumer was sent a check and it has been cashed.
