I called Larry's Heating and Air on Memorial Day Weekend (2016), and this was the only company to return my call that dayHe was able to come out on the morning of MondayHe fixed my AC issue in around minutes (a contact issue between the coils and the fan causing the breaker to trip), and put a few pounds of freon in the unitThe business is clearly honest and is very knowledgeableHow do I assess this? Unknown to Larry's, I had another business look at the problem a few months earlier who said I needed new heating strips ($500.00)They also tried to sell me a new heat pump saying it was not working well and near the end of its life spanThis made no sense to me for two reasons: 1) the AC also caused the breaker to trip; and 2) I only use this unit months out of the year during the summer as the downstairs heat also heats the upstairs very wellHence, why would its life span be an issue? Overall, Larry's found the problem, and my heat pump just needed a little freon as no leaks were detectedFurthermore, I asked him to check the downstairs, and he said it did not need freon (more honesty)Larry's prices were also comparable to othersThus, I will call Larry's for all of my heating and AC needs in the future
