Hi [redacted] The building inspector for Redmond was at the house today He said he will issue a report with findings that will include "corrections" I'll share the report with you when I get it Probably in a day or so I don't know exactly what's going to be listed, but I understand there will be work required by Haight in order to get a final passed inspection signed off and delivered to me I need to know what Haight's intentions are regarding finishing the job Are you willing to perform the work required by the report? I also want to get to a final answer as to the sheathing count I think we can do that between us The inspector said that isn't his role Maybe we can hire a 3rd party, like a house inspector.If you are interested, let's meet at the house to discuss once the report is in and we've both had time to look at it I propose that we write an addendum, maybe a change order, that includes all agreed to outstanding line items That way we will know what needs to be done, who is responsible, and what the final acceptance criteria are We can also talk about me making another payment at that time Maybe some portion up to the contested amount I want the roof done, and I want you guys paid, and for us all to walk away feeling like we got a fair deal.I know your timer is valuable, as is mine So I don't want to drag this out Let me know what you want to do I'll consider any reasonable suggestions by you as well.***
