[redacted], I apologize for any discrepancy that may have occurred at the self checkout or any checkout for that matter. At...
this point I think we are the only Ridley's location that runs a self checkout system, and all of the software as well as the machines themselves are operated on by a third party IT company which admittedly leaves us somewhat out of the loop. We are doing all we can in order to rectify these issues and refine our self checkouts to the operating potential that they are capable of. In the meantime we will be more than happy to take care of any pricing/scanning issues on the spot wither before or after the point of purchase by means of a price correction or refund. One thing that catches quite a few people off guard is the fact that your advantage (Ridley's) card must be the first item scanned at the self checkouts in order for the sale prices to be reflected. I realize that's a clunky procedure and that is one of the "bugs" we're trying to fix within our system. I assure you though we do not employ any bait and switch tactics, and barring the advantage card glitch items ring up the same regardless of which check stand you utilize. Again I apologize for any inconvenience this many have caused you, as well as the delay in response.
