I took my vehicle in for service on September 30th and it is now October 29th to have my front and rear axle seals fixed due to leaking. My vehicle was supposed to be done by October 17, 2019. Let's be clear that I bought and paid for the GM Major Guard Protection Plan. On the 17th I call and ask when I can pick up my vehicle and the service guys says, not going to be done, parts are not in yet. Why did he not call the day prior? So, I call Joe Headley, someone that invited me to meet him and who immediately dismissed me. Then I call Brad M who says "Sounds like we're doing you a favor" and also dismissed me. It was at this time that I realized that from Brad down to the service department, the leadership is the issue. Brad was dismissive and actually claimed that something purchased and paid for is a favor. Since then, I called the warranty center because I am expected to pay for the breaks. The warranty center has no record of a claim for breaks nor the rear differential. Who did they submit those parts too? According to the warranty center, they stated that they will cover breaks if the dealership can prove the damage was done by the axle leaks. Furthermore, where was the claim for the differential submitted? At this point, if I get a defective vehicle, I will know it is because they tampered with it. However, I also feel that the leadership should treat customers much better and realize that paying for a service is not a favor.
Customer picked up her vehicle yesterday (October 29th) having had all repairs done. All repairs (including the brakes) where covered under the GMPP vehicle service contract. All work was pre authorized from the service contract, but everything is done online and so as a result there is not a claim number until the work is done and final bill submitted. Customer was provided courtesy transportation as well at no cost.
