Review: Landscape Excellence owner Randy D[redacted] provided us a "free estimate" for a pool remodel. We shared with Randy that we were interested in utilizing his company, but that we had a house for sale outside Phoenix. The home sale would support our ability to mve forward with remodeling our pool. Based upon my wife sharing this information with him verbally they discussed providing a credit card for a "refundable deposit" to hold a time to remodel our pool in 2016. My wife emphasized to Randy that she would only provide our credit card information if in fact the deposit was refundable. He assured her it was on 10/26/15 the date of the $500.00 charge to our Visa Card.
On 12/30/15 we sent Randy an email to Landscape Excellence requesting a refund of our deposit as we have not yet sold our home. We did not receive a response so emailed again a second time requesting confirmation on 1/4/16. Still after no response via email or call my wife and I called both Debbie D[redacted] and Randy D[redacted] on 1/5/16.
They both stated that the deposit was a scheduling deposit. They would initially not confirm that they would refund us our deposit. Debbie told my wife that they did receive our emails and that she would speak with Randy and get back to us next Thursday 1/14/16. Their inability to maintain their agreement with us made my wife concerned and she contacted me. I called both Debbie and Randy at ~ 3:30pm. When I spoke to Debbie I shared my concerns, but got no resolution. I mentioned that I would contact the Revdex.com and she told me that was a threat and they had attorneys to handle us. Randy was argumentative as well and told me that he spent 30 hours drawing up plans. I shared again our desire to receive our deposit back and he told me that we would receive it by the end of the month "when he paid himself" with a few expletives involved as well. I am not confident that they will refund our deposit. We were never provide a receipt or signed any agreement with themDesired Settlement: $500.00 refund
