Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/07/17) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ***@landmarkext.com At the time of the final measure Mr [redacted] complained how the last company he used didn't cap the exterior of the window as desiredI, ***, said we would recap the center mullions as best we can at our costWe try and make sure our company does everything possible for our customersIt was a gesture not a favor At the time of the installation our crew removed the last company's work, recapped the mullions and did their best to re-caulk to the existing main frame aluminum cappingThe last caulk was extreme and our crew explained to him this was the best they could do given the previous workmanship When he called [redacted] we sent the crew back to rework his area of concern as per the photos he sent to *** [redacted] , [redacted] and myself have visited his home after his latest concern and reviewed it once againI was unsure of his complaint given the site review I explained to [redacted] we could give Mr [redacted] the option to remove all of the old company's work and redo the area from scratch for our cost of $This was not meant as a favor but more to appease our customer and redo work he was unhappy with from another supplierWe take our customer concerns very seriously hence the multiple visits to the house I am not sure what else we can do here other than remove the work we didn't do and install new at our cost of the $or we can refund the $charge Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2014/07/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Landmark continues to state that "'Mr [redacted] complained how the last company he used didn't cap the exterior of the window as desired"The truth is the original installer [redacted] Windows & Doors) installed what I had contracted for which was black capping around each windowThey completed this job to my utmost satisfaction and I would hire Wolt again without any reservation I contracted with Landmark to replace the black capping between each kitchen window with putty cappingAfter seeing the exceptionally poor workmanship, I reached out to [redacted] at Landmark to file a complaint [redacted] requested that I email him several pictures to substantiate my claim which I did minutes after we hung upUpon Landmark's review, they agreed with me and had the installer come out again to fix the problemThe problem is, workmanship is still very poor I then reached back out to Landmark to file another complaint [redacted] from Landmark came back to the house a few days later to assess the workmanshipOf special interest is that [redacted] made no effort to coordinate having anyone in my household present to articulate my complaintOne would think that when you have more than complaint for the same issue that you would like to meet with the customer in person to make sure the issue is understood When [redacted] contacted me on July with his response, it read: "I have to express though, I'm a little surprisedAs you recall, basically as a favor ($40) I said we would try to fix the mistakes of the previous contractor you had do the original installationThen you asked us to come back because of the caulkWe sent [redacted] back at no charge to youA service call like that costs me $ Trying to repair other peoples work...is a case of we'll do what we canFor it to look correct we would need to do it from the start, like the window we did in the front of the house If you like, and want it to look it's best, we would have to tear of all the capping that the other contractor did down to the window frame and start from scratch We can do that, but it would be another contract and it would be $to tear off and recap the back bay window." After reviewing ***'s response, I published this response "I'm shocked that you think this was a favor as that was never communicated to me before either in person or on the quoteFor the record, this wasn't to 'fix the mistakes of the previous contractor'Rather, I wanted the vertical pieces to be putty instead of black If you knew the $option was going to end up looking the way it does today then you should have proposed the $option based on your professional opinion and let me decide what I wanted to sign up forThis $option was never discussed nor was it listed as an option on the quoteTherefore, I have no recourse and questioning the integrity of your company to stand behind their work." ***'s response on July reads: "Is the current workmanship up to me standards? Absolutely!" I feel that Landmark used a bait and switch approach (proposed a $option hiding the fact that it would actually cost $to do a professional job) Landmark's response to my Revdex.com complaint is "I am not sure what else we can do here other than remove the work we didn't do and install new at our cost of $or we can refund the $charge" Requesting that I pay an additional $to do a job they quoted on the contract as being $is not an optionReimbursing the $is not an option as it leaves me with a result substantially worse than what I started withThe only option is Landmark completing the job in the professional manner they contracted for To eliminate any ambiguity of this claim, I attached pictures that clearly justify the substance of my claim Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2014/07/25) */ I find the accusation Mr [redacted] makes of us pulling as bait and switch very unfair and misleadingWe said we would recap the center mulls for $- not the entire window openingI can send my crew back out to recap the mulls only again but would warn that we are still dealing with existing caulking on the perimeter framing that is not being touchedWe pride ourselves in our workmanship and customer service so I'm a bit surprised by some of thisI can only assure it will be the best we can do given what we have to work with Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 11, 2014/08/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) [redacted] stated on July "Is the current workmanship up to me standards? Absolutely!"Therefore, having Landmark respond with "I can send my crew back out to recap the mulls only again but would warn that we are still dealing with existing caulking on the perimeter framing that is not being touched." is not an option as there's still a caveat that the end result will be anything close to that of a complete removal/replacement and therefore have to accept whatever the outcome is I am going to seek another licensed contractor to do the work as I have no confidence in Landmark going forwardBased on Landmark's estimate, this will cost me an additional $beyond the $already paid In good faith, Landmark should acknowledge the $was never discussed nor documented and reimburse me to have this work done by another licensed contractor accredited by the Revdex.com

Had a concern after they had finished the roof, but would return my call or email
Would not recommend

Landmark Exteriors
To whom it may concern,
My name is [redacted]
I met your Landmark Exteriors in April at Home and Garden show in Concord, Ca we were interested in getting our home painted. I set an appointment with your representative [redacted]. Before he came out I researched your company and found no negative reviews according to [redacted]. Recently two family members had their homes painted so I had a good idea on cost. We scheduled project to start June 6. I had received no communication from your business on schedule of time workers were to arrive. I called on June 6th at 10:30 to find out when they would arrive. I had to leave a message. I had a returned call that went to my voice mail. I played voice mail and found that workers were to arrive between 4 and 5pm to start pressure washing. They showed up and spent 45 minutes at my home. My wife took the entire day off work to be there. Very disappointed of lack of communication. Furthermore on my voice mail I was told that workers would be returning Wednesday to do prep work. Workers when finished pressure washing informed us they would be back Thursday to Saturday to do rest of project. After they had finished on Saturday the outcome was horrible and our concerns were not taken care of. I put call and emailed your company to have [redacted] or owner manager to come out and address our concerns. I did not know [redacted] was in fact the CEO/President of the company. [redacted] came out and we showed him everything that was an issue.
1) Cracks in stucco
2) Stucco repair at single story roof shingles
3) Dry rotted wood trim that was not looked at as promised before painting
4) Uneven look to painted body, showing where some sealant was put to seal cracks but nothing to retexture. Which from what I have found out that spreading sealant was the incorrect way to seal cracks. This is done by using a brush to force into crackles and paint over. So after being painted resulted in an awful looking job. The sealant part of house has more of a gloss to it and the rest is flat. Resulting in a very uneven look to the entire house.
[redacted] promised to fix all concerns. Sent a crew back to seal all cracks. He sent someone to fix stucco. Also sent someone to work on trim. That I paid extra for.
So items 1, 2, and 3 were addressed. However most important is the finish look of project and that is a problem. As it looks like there are streaks faded paint with different shades on the body. There has been no attempt to fix this and this should have been the number one item to repair. Everyone sees look of the exterior. When you paint you do so for a look to please the eye.
Example imagine the street with a sealer on a crack that dark black tar. But did not address rest of streaks and looks like lines.
At this time I am absolutely infuriated over this entire project this is an unacceptable quality of work from a company that presented themselves as quality and professional. This actually looks worse than when we started. I am having to look at this every day I drive up to our home. I do improvements to home for purpose of maintaining and for resale value this outcome hurts the value to our home.
As of 6/27/2016 [redacted] has said that they cannot fix or is unwilling to fix what he has done to our home and now I have no choice but to seek other contractors to get the look that was guaranteed by Landmark Exteriors.
I am requesting that I speak with an owner at this time. As the trust is completely broken at this point. If I cannot do this I am prepared to complain to [redacted].
