Landi Fenc Group

My name is ***, I currently reside at *** Long *** XXXXX.

I have been a sub-leasing resident here for seven months, and I am moving out on May 1st, 2020.
Landi Fenc Group was the management company collecting the rent for my apartment at *** Long *** XXXXX

Upon checking my bank account today April 30, I noticed that the Landi Fenc Group, the company that used to manage the building and collect rent directly from my account, decided to withdraw the rent from my account for the month of May 2020.

Back when they were managing my building, I authorized them to withdraw exactly the amount of rent from my checking account. However, ownership of this building changed companies officially last month, to which I paid last month's rent. So Landi Fenc Group withdrawing any money from my account, at any point since ownership of this building changed hands, makes absolutely no sense. No money is owed them, I do not have a contract with them, and they aren't even in possession of the building they're charging rent for!

As soon as their office opened this morning, I immediately placed a call to their office to speak of the matter. When presented with the problem, their irate employee informed me that the fact they charged me rent was my fault, I should've canceled any authorizations this company had for my account and that they weren't responsible.

Landi Fenc Group offered zero solutions to the issue, refused to allow me to even speak during the conversation, and overall insinuated the entire situation was my own fault, although they wrongfully withdrew funds from my account, for a property they no longer manage.
