Landero's Furniture Superstore

We purchased a couch at Landeros furniture in Beaumont in June of 2017. This couch has a one year manufacturer warranty and we also purchased an extended warranty specifically because we have pets. We were assured by the salesperson that we would have 2 incidences of pet damage covered if we needed it. Never once did the salesperson state or even allude to us having to pay to have the couch shipped back to the store.

On May 20th, 2018, within the manufacturer warranty period, I called Landeros about stitching that had come undone on the couch and we needed it to be repaired. It was clearly a manufacturer defect as all surrounding areas of the couch are unharmed and the stitching came loose AT THE SEAMS. Landeros asked me to send pictures of the affected area, which I did. I had to follow up with Landeros a couple of times to find out the status of our request. On 31st May, 2018, we were told we would have to pay to have the couch shipped back to Landeros to have the couch repaired. This is not acceptable. At no time when we purchased the couch were we told if the couch needed repair we would have to pay for it to be delivered to the store. As a matter of fact, before we purchased the extended warranty, I specifically asked how repairs would be taken care of and were told by the salesperson that they (Landeros) would take care of the repair.

I asked to speak to the Store Manager, ***, and she left for the day without returning my call. I was assured my message requesting a call back was left on her desk. This is reprehensible to say the least.
