I had an existing crown that fell off, I brought the crown to them and wanted it put back on, it fit fine but just fell off. They insisted on a new crown and I said sure as long as it's covered. I had no idea my insurance would not cover it, They could have just glued the one that fell off back on or called the insurance company to see if a new one was covered; then I could have made a decision. They didn't care, just wanted to make A new crown covered or not, next thing I get A bill in the mail for $415.40. It already had been sent to collections and I dont know why because its the first bill I received. I did receive one bill over a month ago for this in the amount of around 475.00 after I had already spent over $400 on the new crown, so I called them to see what the charges were for. They said it was for the new crown that was put on, then they told me the amount on the bill was wrong and said they would contact the insurance company to see why the crown was not covered. They never contacted me back to let me know what the desicion of the insurance company was and now I have a bill from the collection agency. I do not feel that I should have to pay for the balance of the new crown because they leaded me to believe that a better crown was covered without actually checking with the insurance company.
