Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My response: The Lakeside Water District management LIES. Unfortunately, customers must deal with this unethical business or they would obtain service elsewhere. How smug they must feel. There is no mention of the reserve time for the deposit in their procedures so they can say whatever they want. Shameful how prompt paying customers are treated. I will anticipate my water deposit being debited til the funds run out; approximately six months is an estimate. Please instruct the clerk to follow proper accounting rules and kindly provide me a monthly statement and have it sent to me via email or postal mail. Regards,[redacted]
Review: In Nov 2013, I applied for water service and was told that there was a $200 deposit which would be held for one year. When I inquired a year later, I was told that the duration was three years and not one. The Lakeside Water District Policy manual does not specify the length of time the deposit would be held. I brought this to their attention. Their reply was that my future water bills would be deducted from my deposit, which is not a refund at all. I expect businesses to keep their word as I have been a prompt paying customer. Thank you. Desired Settlement: Return my water deposit of $200.
