about over charging taxes on the Hotel Occupancy Taxes.  We apologize that Mr. [redacted] had some misunderstanding regarding the taxes that are collected for the Hotel stay vs. the regular retail store sales taxes collection.  As we know Hotel Occupancy taxes are governed by State of Texas @ 6% and each City in the State of Texas has their standard tax rate, City of [redacted] has 7% rate for the Hotel Occupancy for a combined tax rate of 13%.  I've also attached his hotel stay receipts for your review as to what was charged to him  as he stated on the letter.  Mr [redacted] were given a weekly rate when he arrived at the hotel, which is normally the lower rate then the daily rate and then daily rate was charged after his week was over for his additional one night stay.  We hope this information is useful to clarify his concerns and reverse his request for the refund amount as he has requested,  please review and should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me via this email or my direct cell # [redacted].  I would really appreciate your help in this matter and get some misunderstanding cleared.  Thank you, [redacted]Lakeside Inn & Suites[redacted], TX [redacted]FAX: [redacted]
