Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am not asking for a fourth night We spend nights on a houseboat; one of those nights was spent in an ant infestation Sincerely, [redacted] ***
Friday late morning I checked-out two gentlemen on the [redacted] houseboat As we were going through the check-out NO ants were noticed About the time they had loaded all their food and belongings one of the ladies came up and said she had seen a couple ants We gave her some vinegar to get rid of them That evening they called and said there was a lot of ants in their kitchen We sent a person out with spray The next morning, they wanted to switch boats We took a houseboat out to where they were enjoying a nice sunny day on the beach I asked the housekeepers if they seen any ants on the boat while they were doing their deep cleaning They all said no they hadn't seen any ants anywhere When the boat was brought back in we fogged the boats for ants The only place there was remains of ants was in the kitchen area, mainly the sink where there was a bag of grapes leftUpon their return to our business they asked for a one day rental back (as to their calculations) As per our contract, which they signed: MALFUNCTION OR BREAKDOWN: In the event of any malfunction of mechanical or electrical failure or breakdown of the Houseboat or any of its parts, equipment or accessories, the Charterer agrees to notify Owner immediately Owner shall endeavor to service the Houseboat and to complete any required repair or replacement promptly, provided that Owner shall not be responsible to the Charterer and the Charterer shall not be entitled to any adjustment of any amounts paid in respect to the charter for any delays or interruptions which may be occasioned thereby In the event the Charterer attempts to repair any malfunction or breakdown, without Owner’s permission, Charterer forfeits the entire $security/damage depositThe differences in a three/four day trip would be NOT (day trip -day trip 3060.00) Even though we didn't have to (as per our contract) we credited them for a couple of items The oars that were sent out as not faulty If they would have noticed they were defective upon taking them, we would have kindly given them a different setWe understand ants can be distracting and we did our best to make them happy, to no avail
