Response:
Agency is aware of this former client's complaint. Agency staff and Agent Dan L[redacted] have explained this to the former client. Recently my client [redacted] called my agency and stated that she told either my agency or [redacted]'s after hours or [redacted] direct (1-800-[redacted]) to remove her daughter. She could not recall which option she used. My Agency or [redacted] could not find any record of ever having been directed to make this change. Agency staff explained that [redacted]'s rules can only go back up to 1 renewal with proper proof that there was a mistake made. The client had no proof. The client could not even specify a date or even a month when she claims she wanted this change made. When told of another change made 2 years ago, she decided to use that particular date. If that is the case she would have received at least 4, 6 month renewal policies since that time showing daughter clearly listed on the policy. This was explained in detail to [redacted] by Agent Dan L[redacted] and prior to that by my staff. After hanging up on agent stating she was calling home office of [redacted], we have only received her notification to cancel her [redacted] policies the next day. The next day she cancelled her policies with [redacted], I do no know if she received further explanation or filed any complaints with [redacted] home office, my agency has not been notified by [redacted] home office. My Agency, My staff, [redacted] and myself have fulfilled all of our duties according to PA law for this now former client. I do understand that she is angry, but it is a policy holder's responsibility to read her renewal policies and notify us if something is incorrect.
