Laferriere Land Consulting

Review: Laferriere Land Consulting ([redacted]) was contracted to conduct a land survey on our property. The scope of services included: 1) record research of the parcel, 2) field survey of the site (including topographic survey, visible utility locations at site, all structures on site and possible encroachments and easements, and boundary corners), and 3) mapping of the site (to include all items in #2, plus a zoning table for the parcel and digital copy of work to assist in our construction project). Upon receiving the survey in August 2013, we paid the invoice for the bill in full (as requested) and assumed that we were done. However, when closing on the property, we discovered that Laferriere Land Consulting had failed to include a critical water line easement on the survey and therefore failed to deliver the complete survey that had been promised in our agreement. We contacted the company ([redacted], the owner) numerous times, both via email and phone, to have this correction made to the survey, but to no avail. He emailed back once on May 23, 2014 and said that he had been on vacation that week and would have the survey updated with the easement information, but it never was. It's now September 8, 2014 and we still do not have a completed survey, despite having paid for this work over a year ago. Laferriere Land Consulting failed to deliver a complete survey as promised, and we are now seeking help from the Revdex.com to get this matter resolved.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a full refund ($1750.00) because services were not delivered as promised in our contract. We now have to hire someone to redo the survey so we can submit construction plans. Laferriere Land Consulting has proven to be wholly unresponsive despite our numerous and year-long efforts to correct the situation on our own. This is simply unacceptable.
