Review: On Feb 26, 2013, my husband, 3 yr old son and I walked into [redacted] for the first time. It is located in the [redacted] Shopping Center, in the back, by the community center. After a short discussion with the owner, we said that it was a lot to take on for a 3 year old (2 classes a week) and that sure it sounded good but we weren't ready. He immediately started talking fast to keep us - promises of month to month contract...we can get a refund at any time if we were unhappy...how his place is so good they are stealing business from other local karate businesses (yet my son's age level class only had 3 students in it). Because he said we could just try it with month to month and could cancel at any time, we reluctantly said ok and my husband paid him $194. We stepped outside and immediately turned around to cancel/get a refund. He told us "no problem, it will take some time for the refund to go through but you should have it soon." A few days later we called him because the money was not refunded. At this point his tune TOTALLY changed. He said he had no obligation to refund the money and we had signed a contract and tough [redacted]. My husband argued with him that not only had he told us we could cancel at any time, but the owner had told us on the 26th that the money would be refunded. The owner finally said "ok ok I will refund it...give it 24 hours to go through." So here we are March 6th. Over seven 24 hour periods later and we still do not have our money back despite the owner saying TWICE that the money would be refunded. We have called and emailed to try to peacefully resolve this issue and have not heard back from him, nor have we gotten our money back.Desired Settlement: We want the full $194 refunded.
