I personally signed up with Labor Smart several weeks ago. A young African American man present at the time. I returned the next day to drop off a resume and all my personal information including my I.D. and Social Security card. These items were given to *** who was in an office seperate from where the African American male was. She asked me what kind of work I was interested in and that "I am sure I can find something for you", and that "I will call you."
I waited a week and called and spoke to her and she said she had nothing available.
Now today on May 4, I called again and the African American man answered the phone.I told him I was calling in to see if any work was available. He asked my name several times and said "I can't find you in my system." I explained that I spoke to him when I first came in and then the next day to see *** (he was there that day too), who told me to call in.The man became irate and said, "We don't do things that way here" I then told him I did not want to argue but called to see if there was any work available. While still talking, he hung up on me.
Here's my main complaint: This company has all my personal information but refuses to work with me. How do I know if they are using my personal info for some other purpose? They know I have no car and must walk or bus to their location.

The complaint is false. She advised that she gave the application to me the branch manager and I never received the application. She gave the application to my csr the day after she got it. I was unaware of who she was over the phone. We deal with several people daily. At that time I did not have her information. The next day I found the application filed away in the completed application boxes. I tried to look her up by 1st name and by last name but could not find her. She stated she gave me the application and I advised her I never received it that if it were to be given to me it would be put in the system immediately. I also advised her that in order to be eligible to work she must report to the office and it is in her application. She began raising her voice and I advised her I will not tolerate it. She kept demanding that I received the application and what I need to do. I stated I will not listen to it and released the call. I then spoke to my csr and advised her that applications go in immediately. At the beginning of the call I asked my csr if she received an application from this person and was advised that she did not have it. The application was indeed received by my csr and was filed away. We do not share anybody information with anyone. Also, I do not have a *** that works here.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The complaint is not false and I apparently got the name of the young lady who took my app wrong.
I expect an apology
