I rented from this company for a year and a half. When I moved out I paid off my utilities and my landlord double charged me for my water bill that was already paid. He also deducted out of my security deposit things that fall under normal wear and tear. I receive no responses when I contact him regarding this issue. He had access to my bank account and would withdraw rent on the 1st which is also not legal , and I was not allowed to give him checks I was forced to give my banking information for rent payments.

We received your letter in regards to our former tenant *** that resided at *** Please find attached a copy of the Security Deposit deduction breakdown, the Nonstandard Rental Provisions that the tenant initialed and signed and the ACH Deposit/Withdrawal Account information that the tenant provided us. The deductions are items that were broken or removed from the unit when the tenant vacated. Please see the Nonstandard Rental Provisions #12 (regarding water bill), #22 (regarding direct deposit) and the list of charges that were agreed upon, that may be deducted from the tenants security deposit. We have been property owners/landlords for 33 years and strive to be fair to all of our tenants. We pride ourselves on the referrals that we get from our current and former tenants. If there is any additional information that is required from us, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Sincerely, Alphons & Lisa Breit LA Rentals and Real Estate, LLC 920-362-0533

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
So this does not change anything. They still charged me and deducted from my security deposit for my water bill that I had already paid in full. Broken blinds in one spot, mind you the blinds are years and years old and from Walmart so nothing quality, falls under normal wear and tear and legally I should not be forced to pay for broken blinds. This is still unacceptable.
