Bruce from La Mesa Appliance Co just called me to ask me to take this review downWhich is extremely unethical and inappropriateWhile dealing with him in the store, one of the reasons he got upset with me is because I didn't want to supply him with my first name, last name, phone number, and home address just to purchase a retail item from his storeBut he insisted so I gave it to him and now he is using my personal information to harass meHere's a little bit of our conversation just now;
Me, "This is exactly why I didn't want to give you all of my personal information."
Bruce, "If you wouldn't have gotten snippy with me for asking for it..."
I'm not sure what he said after that because I hung up on himThen he called back again and I let my husband answerHe chewed my husband out as well
Bruce, if you're reading this, this is how business worksIf you provide bad or rude service, you get bad reviewsDeal with it
The technician arrived late for the 4 hour window. Looked at my microwave and said it was anot expensive part without even listening to it. Gave a price quote. When I said I'd order the parts and have him install them, he said fine. When I called the store to get the correct part numbers they Saud they'do call back never did. When I called them back 4 days later. They lied and Saud they had called and wouldn't do the job. I had never heard from anyone and just wasted 80.00 for nothing. Don't freak worn this company. They're not reputable
Review: La Mesa Appliance came out in November and replaced a seal on a refrigerator door in our home.(Note that this is in a vacation home and no one was in the property at all from November till March and has been occupied for eight days total, from November until May 3rd, when I called the owner of the company)The seal was replaced, however they did not fix the alignment of the door which caused the seal to tear, so the new seal lasted a few months and it also tore. I called the owner of the company on May 3 to address the issue. When I contacted the owner, [redacted], he informed me that the work was done properly, even though he had never seen the work, and their warranty was only for 30 days. He said he would call me back on the 5th after he had spoken with LG. Never heard from him. I spoke with LG directly and they said the seal should certainly not need replacing within six months and something was causing the seal to tear. You can look at it and see the alignment is off. [redacted] said he stands by the work, but will not fix it without a charge. He became rude at the mention of the alignment not being fixed and refused to do anything other than waive the service fee, but still charge for the part and labor. The workmanship is poor and the customer service is nonexistent.Desired Settlement: I think the seal should be replaced and the door properly aligned, like it should have been done the first time.

Re: Revdex.com complaint [redacted]
Customer [redacted]
La Mesa Appliance Company serviced Mr. [redacted] refrigerator
on November 2, 2012. We replaced an ice maker and refrigerator door
gasket under Mr. [redacted]'s extended warranty. Upon completion of the
repair a member of Mr. [redacted] family signed our invoice "The repairs have
been perfromed in a manner satisfactory to me." (see attached
invoice [redacted]-*) If the gasket was improperly installed it would not
have sealed. LG uses a stud that protudes from the gasket that fits
into a receiver that holds the door closed.
Mr. [redacted] called our store in late March or early April
and stated that the door gasket was not sealing. I informed him that it
was out of our warranty period of 30 days labor and the manufactures part warranty
of 90 days. I asked him if his extended warranty was still in
effect. Mr. [redacted] stipulated that his extended warranty had
expired.
Mr. [redacted] than called May 3rd to again complain that
the door gasket was ripped. I offered Mr. [redacted] a no charge service
call. I also told him if the gasket was torn he would have to pay for the
part and labor to install it. This was unacceptable to
him. Mr. [redacted] refused to pay for the repair. I asked him to
check with LG and see it they would offer him a concession for the
parts and or labor. He was uncessful in obtaining a
concession. Since the part and labor is out of warranty with La
Mesa Appliance Company and LG he must pay for the repair. My offer
of a no charge service call is still in effect.
J. Bruce Russell, Owner
On 3/23/16 I visited La Mesa Appliance Co looking for a replacement part for my dryer. I found the part and paid the amount they asked for but I felt I was treated very rudely by a man named, Bruce. So when I got home that evening, I did what most dissatisfied customers do, and I posted a negative review on [redacted] and [redacted]. Here is the review I posted.
I wish I could give zero stars but that's not an option. Don't go here. The heavy set man with a bald spot and a mustache will be unnecessarily rude and condescending to you. I left there feeling attacked and insulted for just wanting to purchase one part for my dryer. Even after I paid for my item no one said thank you. There's 3 or 4 other appliance stores in La Mesa try them first. These people are just mean and take their bad moods out on their customers.
Today 3/25/15 Bruce decided he didn't want negative reviews posted online so he called me up at home and chewed me out. I went back online and updated my experience with him on both review sites. Honestly, this behavior is scary. I think he may be mentally ill. I'm genuinely afraid that he will try to come to my home next. Below is the updated review I posted today.
Bruce from La Mesa Appliance Co just called me to ask me to take this review down. Which is extremely unethical and inappropriate. While dealing with him in the store, one of the reasons he got upset with me is because I didn't want to supply him with my first name, last name, phone number, and home address just to purchase a retail item from his store. But he insisted so I gave it to him and now he is using my personal information to harass me. Here's a little bit of our conversation just now;
Me, "This is exactly why I didn't want to give you all of my personal information."
Bruce, "If you wouldn't have gotten snippy with me for asking for it..."
I'm not sure what he said after that because I hung up on him. Then he called back again and I let my husband answer. He chewed my husband out as well.
Bruce, if you're reading this, this is how business works. If you provide bad or rude service, you get bad reviews. Deal with it.
La Mesa Appliance scheduled a service call between 9 and 11 toe place parts on an appliance. When I called at 10:15 to check on the status of the service call, the dispatcher, a Mr. T., told me first that they would be late, and then proceeded to question the veracity of the time slot I was given. He added that even if the service man did come at 11:00 it would take two hours for him to do the job, thus minimizing the fact that I had to take time off from work to wait for this service. My time going from half a day to a full day. My complaint is with the violation of the commitment to be on site between 9 to11...and then the dispatcher telling me that what I was saying about such an agreement was not true...inferring that because I could not give him the name of the person that told me the time slot that I was lying. He also started to make excuses about late service calls because it was Christmas. The man lacked customer service skills, no focus on the issue, and displayed an extra ordinary ability to bird walk excuses for poor performance.
