Review: We needed the cartridge replaced in our shower. We also needed different trim (which we had) put back on the shower. I explained exactly what I needed and [redacted] quoted me $250 for the job. When the worker came and did the work he also offered to put the shower head from the shower he was fixing into another bathroom. He called in and [redacted] told him to charge us $375. When I called [redacted] about it first he tried to say that he gave us a deal because we wanted other estimates on some other jobs. Then when I reminded him of his quote he said "well we had to put the trim on." Then I reminded him again that I explained that ALL to him when he gave me the $250 quote. Then he said that we replaced the shower head. That was not an extra $125 since we could have done it ourselves.Desired Settlement: We gave him a check so I could very easily stop payment but I want to do the right thing. I will pay the $250 but I want the inflated $125 extra refunded to us.

Review: L.A. Mechanical installed a dishwasher we had purchased from [redacted]. We also purchased installation and an installation kit from [redacted] at the same time. When the contractor arrived, he said we needed a special fitting to reduce from the copper tube size to the flexible connector size, and had me write a $70 check to [redacted] for the fitting. I owned a plumbing supply company and sold plumbing supplies for many years, so when he left I looked at the fitting and verified the wholesale price to be $3.88. I understand markup, but charging $70 for a $3.88 fitting is extremely excessive. I called the contractor and he would not budge. I called [redacted] and they said they had no control over their outside contractors.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $70. It was a simple fitting that should have been included in the installation kit.
