La Maison Furnishings

Would NOT recommend. Purchased 8-piece bedroom set. Price was reasonable & furniture arrived within 2 weeks....Paid the balance on Sunday & requested delivery on Thursday at 5pm. I phoned Thursday @4:30 to confirm what time the furniture would arrive and was told someone would phone me back @ 5:30...no one phoned me back. I phoned back @ 6pm only to be told they didn't have a vehicle to deliver. After giving them a piece of my mind they said they would have it delivered within an hour (by 7pm) and informed me that they only had ONE delivery person & I should make sure I had someone at home to help unload the furniture (are u kidding me???). At that point I just wanted my furniture so I agreed. The ONE delivery guy showed up (@7:30pm) in an old beat up passenger minivan with HALF the furniture which WE helped him unload in my GARAGE so he could make a 2nd trip to get the rest of my furniture. He returned at 9:30pm with the remainder of the furniture. We helped him bring the items (including the stuff he had placed in the garage) up to our bedroom. Turns out the dresser weighs 235lbs which was too heavy for 1 delivery guy and 1 customer to lift up 2 flights of stairs, so he left it sitting in my foyer with the promise to return today @ 5pm...again, no one showed up. Phoned the store @ 5:30 and was told in an unfriendly manner that someone would come between 8-10pm ([redacted]). Well it's 9:30pm and there's still a 235lbs dresser sitting in my front foyer...no word from the furniture store. So unless you have ur own delivery method...DON'T BUY FROM LA MAISON ON DUNDAS (Mississauga).
