To whom it may concern, In regards to Mr [redacted] complaint of damage to his car from our Touchfree car wash, we have a clearly marker instruction sign in front of the wash indicating how to use itThis machine gets regular maintenance to assure consistent and reliable operation, which had just been serviced a few days before.A regular customer behind him noted that Mr [redacted] did not seem to understand how to use the wash as he entered the bayThe witness also stated that after Mr [redacted] stopped on the floor switch as instructed by the sign, he pulled forwardThe machine had already started operating and Mr [redacted] by pulling forward, struck the overhead nozzles causing the damage to his carWe asked for his information and told him he would be contacted the following day as it was late evening alreadyWe noted that despite striking the machine, it received no major damage from the incidentThe next day Mr [redacted] called and was told that he would be called when I (***) got in to work and handle his complaintHe wound up calling multiple times belittling and berating the employees even after being told I wouldn’t be in until the afternoon due to appointmentsAfter that I called our insurance and gave them our information and pictures including witness statementsThen I emailed Mr [redacted] giving him notice that I’d called our insurance and noted the contact info for them as well as asking further contact be via email so that I could respond and there would be no further threats or harsh phone calls to my employeesIt was our insurance company’s determination that Mr [redacted] was at fault and was responsible for his own damagesUltimately, we cannot be responsible for a customer’s own behavior that leads to damage to a car [redacted] La Jolla Village MobilLa Jolla Village Dr.La Jolla, Ca 92037858-453-
