I am contacting you on behalf of L & L Repair and sales I am the dealer who sold this car to themI agree that they came and looked at a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it did have an oil smell to it, which was due to one of our techs replacing oil pan and still had some spillage on itThis customer
then looked at several other units on our lot and found the Saturn Vue that they liked after test drive etcThis customer could not pay in full for the purchace so we agreed that we would accept down and we would allow payments on the rest of the balance which is which includes tax title and plates to which State dmv gets that money not usAt time of sale they signed a Wisconsin State Buyers guide to which it is stated that windshield has been replaced and also that Check engine light is on for possible emmisionsLater that evening I was contacted in regards to windshield if there is a warranty because there is a small nick in it, I told them there is not just as there is no warranty on the Suv as well which they knowingly signed contract that states AS ISthen they said thatThen they said they had code read on vueand came back as catilic converter, asked if we had a used one, which we can not legally sell nor install a used oneThey said that the gas cap is fine no issues there, When they were at the lot they asked what could possibly be the issue with the emissions, we stated we see alot of them and most of time they are for gas caps, maybe start there and thay may solve the problemAnyways they never stated anything more about this issueOn October I was contacted and customer stated that they think its burning oil and its smokingI asked if they checked oil and they said they had to add a quart on day they bought it, this was first we heard about itRegardless I asked what does it red now and customer stated " the Light?" I responded with no the oil dipstick, he stated he would check later in day after they got home, Later in day he responded with Oil level is still good, he never added anyI did follow up a bit more and asked about where it was smoking from and he responded with tailpipe and under the hoodcustomer also stated that when they accelrate they see cloud of smoke from exhaust pipeI did respond that its really hard to diagnosis over text messages and if they want to bring it in and we will look over suv and see whats going on, Customer never responded more days go by and on November Customer texts and says that suv will not start Again I try to guide them with possible soultions thru text messages etcThey asked if I would come to Fond Du Lac Wi and check it out, which is over miles from my lot, I told them regardless I would have to tow it back to our shop and have one of our techs look at it, I told them We could arrange towing for flat fee which would be cheaper than any other place around, they responded with Can we just get our money back we dont want to pay to get it towed, we have only had it for a week and its burning oil and will not start, we did respond with if you dont wanna pay we can come repo it yesI also said that they test drove suv etc before they bought it and they were comfortale with the purchace and we even agreed to do payments on it for them with no intrest etcI again stated we offered for them to bring it up before and have us look at it and they never repondedThey said they were contacting Revdex.com because they feel we havent put enough effort into trying to resolve issue, I responded with I tried to work with them Ive asked them to bring it in and they didnt I asked them what they would like for us to do, no responseI later contacted them and asked if they got it going they said they did not I did give them other solutions to try and get suv going, Later that evening I recieved a message that the starter is bad, no other messages were sentThe next day I recieved a call from customers brother that said his brother wants it fixed, I stated all cars are sold as is however with that being said I try to help out everyone, so I said if they could get the suv here I will fix it for bucks, the Suv was here within an hourWe replaced starter and also checked all other issues that customer was concerne aboutWe found no issues with converter, no issues with oil consumption in fact oil level was still full and when customer was asked again if they added anymore they stated noCustomer brother came in next day paid bill and left with Suv, have heard nothing else since. I belive we went above what I need to do by law like I do with all of my customers, Used cars are not gallons of milk with an experation date, however I tery my best to work with people which I did so with this customer
