Review: I am filing a complaint against this company for extremely poor work quality, poor customer service, and failure to honor the guarantee they placed on their work.Back in October of 2012, after a series of heavy storms, I got a hole in my roof that leaked water through the ceiling and into my guest bedroom. I contacted [redacted] of L & L contracting after reading some reviews online. Quite promptly, [redacted] and his guys came out and started the work on my roof. About a month later, the work that was initially supposed to take 2 weeks was finally completed. [redacted] and his guys, patched the hole on the roof and also fixed the ceiling under the leak. In June of 2013 I noticed a leak in my guest bedroom in the very area that [redacted] and his crew had repaired just about 6 months prior. Where [redacted] and his team patched my roof. Right away I called [redacted] and left him a message on his voice mail informing him of the situation. With no response 3 days later, I attempted to contact him via telephone again. Still no response. For about 3-4 weeks I attempted to contact [redacted] with no luck. Unsure of whether he was screening my calls or whether there really was an issue with his contact number, I had my wife call him from a different number posing as a new potential customer, and lo and behold!!! He called back multiple times that day trying to reach her. It's sad that it had to come to this but it showed that he had clearly been avoiding my phone calls and ignoring my voice messages. Using a different phone number, I was FINALLY able to get a hold of him on July 8th. In our conversation he said that he was going to take a look at his schedule and me back within 20 minutes to let me know when he could come out. A week went by and not a word from him. For another week after that I tried to call him a couple of times but was only able to leave messages. By this time my roof was getting progressively worse and all this guy was doing was just stringing me along. On July 24th 2013 (yes, that's right.... almost 2 months later) I had my wife's Brother call from a different phone number and leave him a message saying that he had a roof issues and needed service, pretending to be a new customer similar to what my wife had done almost a month ago. [redacted] must have gotten this message as well because he called my brother-in-law back less than half an hour after he left him a voice message. Only it wasn't my brother-in-law on the line, it was me. I spoke with him and expressed how upset I was by him ignoring my calls but clearly answering others. Anyway, the conversation ended with the agreement that [redacted] would come out and take a look at the issue in 2 days on Friday July 26th at 1.30pm. He never showed up and as it stands it's now September and I haven't heard a word from him. He said he would call or text me. He never did.I attempted to contact him one more time after that on July 29th but as soon as I mentioned who I was on the phone he hung up right away. Extremely weary of the childish cat and mouse game he had subjected me to I was forced to call another local roofing company to come out as the roof continued to get worse. I ended up spending another $1300 to have the other company fix L & L contracting's mistake. Beware!!! [redacted] and his team do not do quality work and want nothing to do with you once you pay them, despite their guarantee.Desired Settlement: My goal is to make sure that people in Pennsylvania know what type of company L & L Contracting is and hopefully get back the hard earned money that they ripped off of me.
