Review: In January I tried to order 100 Gallons of oil from LH Stewart. We had cold snap and went through ours quickly. I was refused a delivery because I had a 9 day old balance. I explained that a check for both deliveries would be here when they came. I told them that my husband was out of town and I was home with 4 small children. The woman I spoke with was terrible. She was rude, mean, and heartless. I would have been out of oil that night if I didn't find another company to come out. I am upset that people out there could care so little about helping others. She was willing to let us freeze and didn't care one bit. Everyone should know how these people treat their customers. One day it will be someone else.Desired Settlement: I want anyone who looks them up to know what kind of customer service this company gives its long time customers. An apology wouldn't hurt either.

In response to the customer's complaint filed against L.H. Stewart Fuel, I would like to clarify the call for oil made to this company on January 25, 2013. I was the one who received the call and as usual made notes in the order book. I am the owner's wife and I treated this customer respectfully. I never refused to make a delivery to their house. There was a concern of an overdue delivery made January 8, 2013 and she agreed to leave payment for that delivery. I reminded her that new delivery was due within 10 days ( our terms for all of our customers) and she became upset. She said " Never mind I will get my oil from someone else". I took that as a cancellation of her order. I asked her to send out payment for the overdue delivery and received no response and she hung up. Subsequent calls were made to collect this bill and on July 23, 2013 payment was finally received.
