Larry Deater, owner, has "scheduled" three dates to complete work specified in acontract dated 8.21.2012. His workers don't show up.
Larry Deater signed a contract on 8.21.2012 to pressure wash and apply roof coatings to my house. It appears that he started the job right away the next day so that he could collect a total of $350. (partial payment) from me. Since then he has "scheduled" three dates at his convenience to apply two roof coatings (black sealer and elastomeric). On sunny days he doesn't show up, on rainy days he yells at me that he can't work on a flat roof in the rain. What legitimate businessman schedules work to be done during a hurricane (August 27th), then yells at the customer when she calls two days later to inquire as to when he will show up? This owner's erratic behavior, verbal abuse of others, and reluctance to honor his commitments make the customer wonder whether this is a legitimate business or the work of a flim-flam man. I generally prefer to give my business to local, small business owners; however, they usually perform work in both a timely and good workmanship manner because they know that word of mouth advertising is important in a small community. Larry Deater seems to operate in a different world, one in which only his need (for money?) is important. Honor in being a reliable small businessman operating in the local community and fairness to the customer seems to be beyond his ability to comprehend.
