I cancelled my membership to UFC Costa Mesa (then called LA Boxing) in September of 2013. After checking my bank account I noticed I continued to be charged for both October and November dues, despite my cancellation. I called the gym mid November to report this and spoke with an employee named [redacted], who said that the person who handled my cancellation in September did so incorrectly and that my account was still considered "active" - hence the charges. He said he could call corporate office, report the incorrect handling of my cancellation and work towards refunding me the previous 2 months fees and that he would call me back after doing so. I gave him my number and waited to hear from him. After not hearing from [redacted] for 5 days I called the gym again and spoke with the manager, [redacted] - I told her the situation and she said there was nothing she could do. She said since I didn't remember the name of the employee who made a mistake on my cancellation, that the only way to resolve the situation was to come in to the gym, repeat the cancellation properly this time and pay for my final month - which meant I would have been charged for three additional months after my initial cancellation. When asked who else I could speak with about the matter she directed me to the UFC corporate office. I called corporate and was directed to [redacted], who handles memberships. I called [redacted] three times and left three separate messages, with no return phone call. After multiple phone calls to both the gym and the corporate office, with zero help from management and no resolution to this matter, I was forced to cancel my bank card to keep from being continuously charged by the gym. I filed a complaint with my bank, who refunded me for October and November charges to my account. And now I'm filing this complaint with the Revdex.com
