Korean Air called and admitted it's their fault not to handle my credit card verification properly and caused unacceptable stress to my parents. However, they refused to compensate for their mistake reasonably. Further contact through email didn't get back any response.

Review: I would like to report an unhappy incident with Korean Air. I bought two round-trip tickets for my parents to fly from Hong Kong to New York to visit me through [redacted] using my [redacted] credit card last month. The flight departed from Hong Kong on March *. I have been a Korean Air customer for a long time and I know I need to do credit card verification. Therefore, on March *, I went to New York JFK Korean Air counter and did the credit card verification. A Korean Air staff ([redacted]) took care of this process and I double confirmed with [redacted] to make sure everything is done and my parents should not have any problem to check-in. But to my surprise, this verification didn't happen properly since my parents were not allowed to check in on March * at Hong Kong airport Korean Air counter because of missing credit card verification. Eventually, my parents were forced to buy another two new round-trip tickets in order catch their flight (Fortunately, my parents brought enough cash with them). My parents are 70+ age and they were very stressful through this whole unhappy experience. I reported to this incident to Korean Air by phone and by email on March **. So far, I haven't got back any response from them.
Summary:
1. The Korean Air e-ticket doesn't contain any highlighted texts to remind customers to do credit card verification if ticket is bought using credit card. Most likely, customers don't even know they need to do credit card verification.
2. I did the credit card verification on JFK counter and the process didn't take care of my case
3. This caused huge stress to my senior parents. Two paid and verified tickets almost caused two old persons not being able catch their flights. No Korean air staffs did any help during this incident. This is unacceptable.
4. Korean air failed to response to this incidentDesired Settlement: Korean Air should fix their credit card verification process.
Should refund my two round-trip tickets.
Should compensate the stress my parents had suffered during this incident.
