Kootenay House Cleaning

Moved across the province to a disappointingly dirty apartment. Our landlord did some cleaning, but we wanted a professionally done deep clean to get it up to a reasonable standard. Hired Kootenay cleaners and agreed to a full deep clean for $315.00 that would include walls, bathroom, windows, fridge, stove, microwave and flooring. Went to open up the house for the cleaners at 9am, waited for 30 minutes, no one showed up, so just left the house open for their tardy arrival. After errands, showed back up at 11:30 am, and no one was there, but the house was left open and floors were wet so I assumed they had been there. Was told that the clean would take 9 hours, but received a text message at 2pm that said “done”. So let’s do the math- 9:30 (no one there), 11:30 (no one there), 2 pm (done) = 9 hours? Brilliant.

Checked in on the place at around 5pm, and the place smelled like smoke ( which it didn’t before). Microwave was dirty, floor was dirty, windows weren’t touched, fridge still dirty, walls dirty. Not actually sure what they did other than maybe vacuum quickly and mop the floor (but miss all of the corners somehow). Disappointed doesn’t even cover it. The level of unprofessionalism and incompetence is absolutely mind blowing. Owner was contacted and argued all of our points, so ended up giving up on having someone come back because we have to
