In January of 2014, I commissioned *** *** to build me a solar-powered, 15ftcamper within monthsI regret this decisionI could have saved thousands of dollars and over half a year of anxious waiting if I had not gone with him
In several face to face encounters and emails, *** *** admittedly oversold his abilitiesHis inability or unwillingness to communicate honestly caused many delays and inconveniencesFor example, after already being one week late on the completion of the camper, he asked me to go to Knoxville to pick it upAfter driving nearly miles, it was I who had to call him in order to finally find out that the camper (which I had already waited months for) was still incomplete I ended up waiting around in the Knoxville area for a full two weeks before finally leaving to go back home where I had to wait for more than two more weeks before the camper was finally finished
Despite admitting total responsibility for all the delays and inconveniences, he refused to compensate me, even minimally, for the direct financial losses I sustained due to the fact the he failed to comply with our contract
Furthermore, I have now lived in the camper for over one month and the solar system (an important and expensive system that was integral to our contract and original plans) fails to work as it shouldI wasted thousands of dollars by trusting him to install a powerful solar system correctlyThe one I have now won't even keep the TV running for more than a couple days! and I live in sunny Arizona!
My advice to any prospective customers who are on the market for a similar product (a ft camper designed to be good for boon docking) is to save yourself the heartache, frustration and disappointment that comes with working with this man
I could have gone with a mass-produced alternative and saved thousand dollars and had a warranty that meant something, His warranty is only good if you are willing to take it to him in TNGiven the numerous and recurring problems his work has already had in the first month or so, his warranty it is simply impractical for anyone who doesn't live nearby him in MtPleasant
If I could undo the decision I made months ago to give him my business I wouldI hope others will not make the same mistake I did
