The agents at SSC are either uneducated on the auto warranty products they are selling (at best) or purposefully misleading customers (at worst). Though the auto warranties that they sell are useful for some people, they require that all regular maintenance be performed by a licensed repair center. If you maintain your own vehicles, the contract will be void. I discussed this with several SSC agents that assured me this would not be an issue, but then spoke with the actual insuring company ([redacted] Administrative Services), who said very specifically that this is not okay, and that my contract would be void. I've filed for a cancellation with [redacted] in order to get my money back, and I hope that this is resolved.
They are nice when they try to talk you into signing up! They give you false information! Apparently you have a 30 days trial period time. When you receive the contract it says your policy starts after 30 days! So what is there to think about?!
When you receive the contract, it says that this contract is what you have agreed to and not what you have heard over the phone! Can you believe that? In other words our colleague told you a bunch of lies just to enroll you and this is the actual agreement.
When I asked for how to cancel, the agent told me you just call customer service and that's it! You will be reimbursed in just a couple of days! "NOT" You have to send them a letter!
