Klaus' Towing Inc

My vehicle was towed this morning at 229 am from my apartment complex. The reason was because my two passenger side tires were on the snow covered frozen ground and not on the parking space. The lot was not snow free when I parked., and the person when I called Klaus towing was sooo rude and told me the truck was entirely on the grass. She neglected to tell me if the apartment complex where I live called them or they just towed it on their own. She actually hung up on me because she said I was too angry. I was not yelling, and I did not swear at her in any way on the phone. Well, they did tow it on their own turns out, and nobody called them about it. I went to their impound lot to get my truck, and had to end up calling 911 and requesting an officer come to Klaus towing because I felt threatened, and not to mention they stole my vehicle. He explained that it is a civil matter about the towing and I would have to get legal counsel. They insisted I sign an electronic device withough seeing the document and how much I was being charged for. The Officer Sunday, said it was all on the up and up, and it would be fine, so I signed the paper.Then I went out to get into my truck and it was unlocked and the alarm went off when I opened the door. They had jimmied the lock and had the turned the alarm off somehow. the driver's seat was all the way up to the steering wheel. I am a tall guy almost 6 ft tall, so I knew somebody had been in my truck, even though they told me they never go into peoples vehicles. There was also damage to the front bumper. Keep in mind, I am a retired cop and know exactly how my truck was damaged, becuase I have seen tow truck companies do the same to other peoples vehicles. So I go into the office and said I will not move the vehicle until I do a damage report. The manager insisted and called me vulgar names. Another woman also told me I had five minutes to get the vehicle off their property. So once again I called 911 and asked for the officer to come back to the impound lot because I was feeling threatened. I had to pay $268 to get my truck out of impound, and the officer went out to the lot so I could do a damage report. When looking at my bill of sale, I noticed they had charged me for towing mileage at $4.24 a mile for six miles. I told the officer and he said what is your point. I told him the apartment is less than three miles away. So he did a check on his phone to check my math, and turns out I was right, go figure. He said once again, it is a civil matter the fact they purposefully defrauded me of almost twenty dollars. I said, I bet if I stole $20 from them it wouldn't be a civil matter would it? Lol. There is something seriously wrong with the Colorado Springs whole civil code, and the Police Department here. I am greatful Officer Sunday came to the impound lot to protect me from that mean old witch who manages Klaus towing, but you still are really on your own in this city, and towing companies have so much power. I told the officer it's like a giant cash cow for them, and he agreed with me. How am I supposed to know my truck was parked with two wheels on the grass, when it was a blinding snowstorm when I parked. This company personnel is the worst society has to offer.

Horrible business practices illegally tows your car in the middle of the night with no signs posted

Klaus towing is the absolute worst in terms of business standards!! They are not professional, they address callers with foul language, they are not helpful, they have no business attending clients who have every reason to be frustratedAfter towing my vehicle which was not wrongly parked they have the nerve to tell me to "f* off" when I raise my voice to them and demand my car be brought backTheir degree of incompetence is unbelievableLegal actions will be taken against Klaus for essentially stealing my car!!

During my two encounters with this towing company, I have experienced, extremely negative outcomes of having my vehicle towed twice within a matter of two weeksOn September 27, Klaus' Towing Incorporated charged me: a tow fee, storage fee, and after hours fee adding up to two-hundred seventy-one dollars and twenty-four centsAlso the invoice I received, stated a mileage fee of "mile(s) @ dollars per mile," which is indeed against Colorado Public Utilities Commission standards and lawsThe company also failed to inform car owners about the total amount fee on any of the towing signsThis was only the beginning, when I was towed my second time, I clearly had a "Permitted Parking" sticker on my rear windshield (passenger side) that was visibleI took records/pictures of the vehicle in Klaus parking lot with a image of the parking pass being visible to the driver of D-KlausThis message is for the company to record my complaint and initiate investigations!

I was parked in a permit parking only when my truck was snagged by employee*** he drove about 200ft dropped my truck, an Chevy Silverado, because he started to bottom outi ran out to see if I could get him money to leave my truck and he agreed $70cash, no receipt...I notice damages done to my bumper etc....he denied......so I called his 'boss' got him to bring me a receipt back n at tht point it went sourfowl language threatstold me tht he was making it his point to get my truvk if I had a problem call the police call my congressman etc,,,,just very brutal with wordsi stayed calm called police after he left and spoke to nigjt management they told me to come in today 11-10-14...incident was 11-9-14....I did and was treated very well by the shift manager ***, he wrote me a refund and was very pleased to help etcHe was very upset with the way his employee handle this towI feel *** was npt tryong to document the drop fee so he culd rip me and his employer off and that is just wrong:(

Today, 02/09/2014, I pulled up into the Tanglewood Apartments on Half Turn Way to drop my children off at their grandmother'sI pulled into a parking spot, and literally before I got out of the car, a Klaus' employee, who had been trolling the parking lot with a clip board, walks up and rudely asks me if I had a parking passI informed him that I was just dropping off my children at their grandmother'sHe then tells me I cannot park here and my car will be towed if I don't moveMind you, its snowy and cold and I was LITERALLY STILL IN MY CAR, and just dropping the kids offI feel harassed, I feel almost violatedThis was COMPLETELY uncalled forI cannot believe how rude this person was, and the entire situation was an extremely upsetting experience for my children and me

The owner of this place is dishonestThey towed my boyfriends car claiming it was parked in a fire zone which it was notThey have towed many other vehicles that were not illegally parkedThey towed my boyfriends bosses truck from his driveway timesThey do not deserve to be in businessSomeone needs to look into them and they need to be shut down

Your business is a disgrace to the American economy. You guys essentially stole our car from our legal parking spot at our condo based on our shady hoa company's request who you contract with. Your rates are through the roof, and when I asked over the phone why you charge literally twice what the city impound and towing does your response was, "write your congressman" followed by your extremely rude employee hanging up on me. We had to drive a half hour out of our way to come pay you, and after that you even gave us a hard time about putting the car out on the road so that we could have it towed away from your ridiculous establishment. Our car was older and barely worth what you were charging to get it out, so ask me if I was surprised when we pulled up to see that you conveniently sell used cars, and that all the cars on your lot were older cars of similar value? I wasn't. I just chuckled and wondered how many of those cars you "legally" stole from other people. In fact, I wonder if the hoa company you contracted with is getting a little kick-back from you? You're all taking advantage of a system designed to protect crooks, and I told you I'm gonna warn everyone. And for the record, Klaus Towing, every single one of your tow truck drivers and employees look like they’re ex-convicts, and it's not ok that your employees working inside were talking badly about literally every person they got off the phone with while my wife was standing there enduring you being rude to her. My pregnant wife was literally in tears because your people were so rude to her. It’s clear by my experience with you, and by the other reviews I’ve read written about you, that you’re extortionists, and I can’t morally not warn anyone who comes in contact with you and still have a clean conscience.

The owner of this place is dishonest. They towed my boyfriends car claiming it was parked in a fire zone which it was not. They have towed many other vehicles that were not illegally parked. They towed my boyfriends bosses truck from his driveway 3 times. They do not deserve to be in business. Someone needs to look into them and they need to be shut down.

Illegally towed my vehicle and charged me $209. This will be taken to court today.
