Unlicensed and very unprofessional. Hung curtains inaccurately and drilled holes in walls not needed. Refused to perform certain tasks related to the project and refused to clean up. Became hostile and confrontational when I questioned exorbitant charges. Rude and offensive to me personally. He never came close to finishing the project yet decided to leave, demanding full payment.
How do you reply to a person that gets there feeling hurt when you reject there advances?
It is a sad time we live in when there are so many me twos out there with there feeling hurt when a man rejects there advances. I suggest that they get on with life and leave a decent person alone.
Jerrall D, a retired blind and drape businessman, still moonlights and installs blinds but he does not hold an active license. He installed 37 blinds in my home on Dec 28, 2018. Four of the blinds he measured (he also did all the pre-order measuring which he was paid to do) arrived and were 15-inches SHORT. All the roller blinds in the upstairs part of the house (8 windows) were installed inside out, cleats were not attached to the window sill, and the blind cords on a few of the roller blinds were not attached to the wall. I paid him in full for the install, but had to leave before he completed the job. My assistant was here. When I returned and examined the blinds is when I discovered all the above errors. I put a stop payment on his check immediately. He has not been willing to return to correct his mistakes and he is threatening me if I dont cut him a new check. I will not pay him until his errors are corrected, but he has been unwilling to come back to fix the things he did wrong or not at all.
His mistakes have cost me over $2000 as I had to reorder the blinds he measured wrong, along with the original price of the blinds, plus I have to pay someone else to come and correct all his errors.
He boosts that he was the most successful blind installer in the Valley (Southern Oregon) and he denies any wrongdoing. Well, pictures are worth a thousand words.
