I have leased an apartment for years from this business & I have had to break from my current lease from them due to hazardous living conditionsIts extremely unfortunate to live in a part of town that I adore & a significant hot spot yet my property managers think there is no reason to fulfill requests for repairs by the tenants or deal with complainantsI live on a the 2nd floor of a story building & have experienced leaks from the roof since I have moved inThese leaks have gradually become worse & all the repairs did not help or resolve the leaksWhen I spoke with a representative for Kismet, she even agreed with me that it was a hazardous living conditionWhen she said that it really hit it me that my property manager does not care about my safetyIf there was a hard rainstorm on the way tonight my ceiling could be in my living room by FridayWhen I had called the emergency maintenance number over a weekend I was literally on the verge of tears because I was afraid that the ceiling was going to fall inThe man proceeded to tell if there was nothing he could on the fly & I understood that due to the condition of the ceilingHowever, when I went to the property mgmtoffice on that Monday I was told that the man didn't even call to tell them about my phone call from SundayAgain, no one cares about the tenantsI understand that the apt I live in is cheap but now I realize its cheap for a reasonI have seen other issues in other tenants apts in the same buildingSome people don't have a working stove, broken locks on the front doors that the maintenance men walk by & ignore, or no hot water to bathe month babies inIt's astounding their reasoning on why Kismet doesn't fix up this propertySo many other properties around me have been renovated to compliment the hot spots in Midtown yet Kismet is stuck on saying there's no pointWhy would I want to continue to rent from someone who doesn't care about the community, let alone the me? It's a shame I love my little apt, its not perfect but it suited me I just wish my property managers would have met my needs as they shouldI didn't realize how infamous Kismet was till I decided to move elsewhere & talked to other landlordsI wanted to express my opinion & experience with them as a warning to others who are considering renting from themHonestly, if you are paying more than $you may be the safe zone & all of your needs will be met but if you are paying less or a fixed income resident its best you know your rights as a renter otherwise you will be treated as ignorant & you will be unhappy

Kismet Property Management has managed my rental property for 3 years. They are terrific! No worries with Kismet.
