They have my pellet stove for repair. They have had it for approximately three months. They have not repaired it. They called around the first of the year to say they have the problem diagnosed and parts are on the way. As of yet I've heard and seen nothing. When I go to business I've talked to four different people. Including the owner. on one visit I found my stove in their shop pushed back in a corner with no work whatsoever done. Did have the stove approximately two months at that time. This is costing me additional funds for heating and the house is uncomfortable. on the occasions that I have spoke with them they assured me they're going to get right on it and get it fixed. As of yet nothing has happened. At this point a simple apology will not do. The discomfort this household has been going on far too long. I want my stove fixed immediately and returned to my house and reinstalled. Also, I have received no receipts, paperwork, work orders, or any type of paperwork regarding this situation. Very hard to come up with dates and times when I have no paperwork. As I have no stove to refer to, I cannot come up with a model number or any other pertinent information other than the brand is ***.

My wife and I purchased a Quadra fire propane stove with fan and a White -Rodgers Thermostat.Total cost parts and labor $4,063.98. After about 2 years and 3 weeks our White-Rodgers thermostat quit working. I contacted Kinney Bros. & Keele and they said "Bob a retired tech" would be at your home on Monday11-19-2018 with a new thermostat.He brought a "*** thermostat" and installed it. I asked if there was a warranty on the Model # *** White Rodgers thermostat and I got no response from Bob. After 30 minutes or so he said it's installed and that will be $250.00. I said I don't have that much so I'll have to use my ***. $100.00 was for gas and mileage and $75.00 was for service call and another $75.00 for the *** thermostat. After he left I called White Rodgers Thermostat corporation at *** and *** said ,"They should have given you a free White Rodgers thermostat because we have a 5 year warranty and your warranty would be good until 10-01 2021. So I contacted *** and said I wanted to dispute a charge. They said as long as you remove the *** thermostat from your home and mail it back to Kinney & Keele Hardware we can get your $250.00 back.I just got a call today Tuesday 11-20-18 from *** and she said I'm going to *** you a brand new programmable White Rodgers thermostat newer than the Model UP *** that failed. I thanked her and now I'm just waiting for it to arrive so I can remove the *** and send it back to Kinney & Keele hardware in Oregon.
Dear Revdex.com: I am going to remove and send back the *** Thermostat and *** of White Rodgers is sending me a new White Rodgers thermostat which I will install myself with the assistance of The White Rodgers technical support team. *** told me to mail back the *** to Kinney Bros. and Keele. That is what I will do I'm going to insure the *** for the value of it $75.00; Then I plan on getting a complete refund. I don't ever want to do any business with Kinney and Keele True Value Hardware store ever again.
is correct is correct on most points. When he called he was desperate because he had no way to control his heat except for a switch on the stove. He lives one hundred and eight miles from our store. Bob R, my former partner and stove tech, arranged to go to McCall to fix his stove. We were out of the white Rodgers thermostat so he took a similar one made by ***. I assumed the thermostat was out of warranty as did Bob R. I am willing to do warranty replacement of the thermostat. *** is assuming that mileage and repair are provided for the thermostat. White Rodgers offers replacement of the thermostat under the terms of the warranty. The *** is now discontinued through my sources and replaced ***.
The thermostat was purchased separate from the Quadrafire gas stove and is not considered part of their warranty. I am including a copy of our stove shop rates. We charge $2.50 a mile one way with the first ten (10) miles free. Our shop time rate is $100 per hour. *** thinks this is covered by warranty. It is not. We should have and will warranty the thermostat, but our service call is a legitimate cost that should be paid. His mileage cost should have been $245 and we charged $100 for the trip instead and $75 to install the unit.
*** stopped payment with his credit card company so apparently we are providing this service for free. I have attatchments to support what I have stated here if I can do so. If not contact me by email and I can provided them
