Kings Cages

Review: I purchased a cage through my local animal rescue center ([redacted]) on Saturday (2\28\2015); this business is a distributor of Kings Cages products. The cage was advertised as having 5/8 bar spacing. When the cage arrived and was set-up (3\1\2015), several areas (three spots under the food bowls and along the lower rim) had spacing greater than 5\8 inch. Some of the spacing extended beyond one inch. I contacted the business owner where I bought the cage; she stated that it is often difficult to make a claim against their products and that many pictures would be required. I called the company directly and was told that they have sold thousands of those cages, and that no one has made this complaint. They told me they would measure the bar spacing in their warehouse and return a call to me mid-morning. In addition, I was told to speak to the owner of the business that I purchased it from. So I spoke with the owner and forwarded her many pictures. Kings Cages did not return my call by late afternoon. I re-phoned them and was told that they had a call into the business where I bought the cage. They did not measure the cage in the warehouse. On 3\2\2015 the owner of the business called and said to return the cage to her and she will give me a store credit for the $494. dollars I spent. The owner was gracious enough to do this, absorbing the cost of the cage to avoid her needing to send the cage back to Kings Cages and pay shipping and restocking fees. I notified Kings Cages and told them I was disappointed in the outcome, appreciated the kindness of the store owner, and would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.comDesired Settlement: I would like for the cage to be returned to Kings Cages free of charge to me and the owner of the business. I would like a full refund credited to my credit card.
